Your adventure begins with an exhilarating drive from Kathmandu to Dhap, a gateway to the remote Solukhumbu region. This 8–9-hour journey offers a captivating transition from the bustling capital to the tranquil foothills of the Himalayas. Dhap is where you get to enjoy the first glimpses of the Numbur Himal and Everest range emerge. This small yet significant settlement marks the beginning of our trek into the Sherpa heartland, home to the legendary Himalayan mountaineers. The journey from Dhap to Jhapre offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. The trail begins with a descent to Singhane, passing through lush forests and terraced fields that are characteristic of the lower Solu region. From Singhane, the path ascends gradually, leading you through a mesmerizing rhododendron and pine forest, which bursts into vibrant colors during the spring season. As you approach Jhapre (2,820m), you are greeted by stunning views of the Himalayan peaks, including Everest and Numbur Himal, on a clear day. Jhapre is a culturally significant village, home to several Buddhist monasteries and chortens, reflecting the deep spiritual traditions of the region.

Today marks one of the most demanding yet rewarding days of the trek. You will ascend for about two hours to reach the summit of Pikey Peak (4,065m) in time for sunrise. From this vantage point, enjoy panoramic views of the Everest region, including Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Nuptse, Thamserku, and Mera Peak, stretching across the horizon. The sunrise over these snow-capped peaks is an unforgettable sight.
After soaking in the spectacular scenery, the trail takes a steep descent to Jarse Bhanjyang, followed by a steep uphill climb until Kharkai before another sharp descent through dense forests to reach Taktor followed by a short walk to Junbesi, a large and culturally rich Sherpa village. Junbesi is home to the Hillary School and several historic Buddhist monasteries, reflecting the region's deep spiritual roots.

Today is a day of cultural immersion in Junbesi, a significant Sherpa settlement known for its vibrant Buddhist heritage. The morning begins with a visit to Thuptencholing Monastery, home to over 900 monks and nuns. This monastery, originally established as a refugee center for Tibetan Buddhists, remains an important center for Buddhist teachings and rituals. The day concludes with a return to Junbesi, where you can further explore the village and interact with the local Sherpa community.

Leaving Junbesi, the trail takes a gradual two-hour ascent to a scenic viewpoint,Cheese Danda, where stunning panoramic views of Everest, Thamserku, and Mera Peak unfold before you. Continuing through the village, the path descends until we cross Dudh Kunda River. From here, it's a steep uphill climb which leads to the Takshindu. If interested, guests can tour the Taksindu Monastery.

The day starts with a steep descent and brings you to the Ringmo Village, a small but picturesque mountain town surrounded by lush green hills. Following the trails along side the monastery leads you to Phaplu, which is the gateway to the lower Solu region and offers breathtaking views of Mt. Numbur, a sacred peak revered by the local Sherpa and Rai communities.

An early morning departure from Phaplu takes you on a long but scenic drive back to Kathmandu, passing through charming hill villages, dense forests, and terraced fields. The drive offers one last opportunity to soak in the beautiful landscapes and rural life of Nepal before returning to the bustling capital.
