Day 1: Kathmandu to Pokhara

We set off early from Kathmandu, embarking on a journey through lush river valleys and terraced fields. The 8 hour drive offers a glimpse into rural life in Nepal as we pass vibrant villages and rolling landscapes. The winding route to Pokhara, a city rich in both natural beauty and historical significance, promises stunning views of the Annapurna Range, preparing us for the beauty that lies ahead. Pokhara, once a key stop on the ancient trade routes connecting Nepal to Tibet, holds a unique charm with its tranquil lakes, rich cultural heritage, and historical landmarks, making it a perfect starting point for our trek.

Day 2: Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1540m, trekking time 4-5 hours)

After breakfast in Pokhara, we drive to Nayapul (1,035m), about 1.5 hours away. From here, we cross a suspension bridge over the Modi Khola River, a waterway that has historically played a crucial role in connecting the communities of the Annapurna region. The river has been a lifeline for local inhabitants, facilitating trade and transportation for centuries. As we begin our ascent, crossing the river offers a glimpse into the area's rich cultural past, where people have lived in harmony with nature for generations. Climbing through terraced fields and traditional mountain villages, we experience the rural charm of Nepal. Tikhedhunga (1,540m) awaits as a serene haven to rest for the night.

Day 3: Tikhedhunga (1540m) to Ghorepani (2750m, trekking time 6-7 hours)

A challenging uphill trek brings us to Ghorepani, a charming village nestled at the foot of the mighty Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. As we ascend, the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding mountains gradually reveals itself, offering a rewarding glimpse of some of Nepal's most iconic peaks. Ghorepani is not only a stunning viewpoint but also a cultural treasure, home to the Gurung people, who have lived here for generations. Along the way, we pass through dense rhododendron forests, which burst into color during the blooming season, adding to the village's natural charm. The weather may gift us with crystal-clear skies, offering a spectacular mountain panorama that makes every step of the journey worthwhile.

Day 4: Ghorepani (2750m) to Tadapani (2710m, trekking time 4-5 hours)

Day 5: Tadapani (2710m) to Tolka (1700m, trekking time 5-6 hours)

Today, we pass through Ghandruk, a Gurung village rich in culture and history. As we descend through forests and terraced fields, we cross a suspension bridge before embarking on a steep climb towards Landruk. Our uphill trek takes us through traditional villages and farmland, leading us to Tolka (1,700m), where we will rest for the night, surrounded by the serenity of nature.

Day 6: Tolka to Pokhara (trekking time 3-4 hours)

On our final day, we walk through forests, fields, and villages, eventually reaching Pitam Durali. From here, the trail begins a gradual descent with some uphill stretches towards Australian Camp, where we are treated to spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks. We then descend to Kande, where we take a scenic drive back to Pokhara, concluding our unforgettable journey through the heart of Nepal's natural and cultural wonders.
