Transfer from Panama City to San Blas Islands (L/D)
You will be picked up at your accommodation in Panama City early this morning and taken on an exciting ride through the jungle on 4x4 transportation. We will then make a stop to pass through immigration formalities and pay the entrance fees to Kuna Yala Islands (not included). We will continue our way to the dock where you will meet your boat to take a shared transfer to your island. Upon arrival, get settled in and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings of this pristine place.
Note: Please note that there will no longer be a stop at the supermarket to avoid unnecessary time loss and to be able to arrive at the port as soon as possible. Therefore, we encourage you to purchase supplies to take with you to the island (snacks, drinks, water) the day before the tour.
*Note: This "Comarca" is a paradise where it is only allowed to people from its community to work there, tourism is something new to them, their infrastructure is currently under development and service might not be entirely satisfactory in some cases.
Enjoy this Caribbean paradise, opt to swim or snorkel around your island or hire a boat to visit a traditional Kuna Yala village
San Blas Chichime Islands(B/L/D)
Enjoy a fresh breakfast with the sounds of the waves on the shore. Today you will take an island tour in Natural Pool, near the coral reef, there is a natural pool where you can bathe. It does not cover much, above the knees. The water is really calm since there aren't currents or anything like that. Also, you will visit Fragata Island, this island is the typical postcard island, it is a small islet from which comes a lot of sand that joins another smaller island. You can walk through it or opt to swim and snorkel around the island in the crystal clear turquoise waters to spot colourful tropical fish among coral reefs or simply spend time relaxing on a hammock. On one of these days, you can also hire a boat and visit a traditional Kuna Yala village of this archipelago, where you can purchase handmade souvenirs to contribute to the community (optional activity at extra cost, inquire upon arrival). Spend the evenings watching the horizon turn different shades of red and pink as the sun sets over the Caribbean.

The one thing that makes Dog Island so special is the shipwreck in front of its shores. Here you're able to snorkel and uncover the leftovers of an old army gunboat that Mother Nature has taken over throughout the years. This is a real-life paradise, see how beautiful it is! It feels like a tiny deserted island in the middle of nowhere. Transfer from San Blas Islands to Panama City (B)
Say goodbye to your piece of natural paradise this morning for your scenic one-hour return trip to the dock by boat and 4x4 transportation ride back to Panama City, and be dropped off at your accommodation in the afternoon.
Your accommodations will be rustic, with few services and amenities. The idea of this trip is to connect with pristine nature, not to have a luxury resort experience. The islands are beautifully maintained, with incredible beaches and a very clean and healthy coral reef. However, there is no air-conditioning, no television, and very little cell phone signal. Be prepared to immerse yourself in pristine nature and a laid-back island lifestyle and expect to spend a lot of free time in nature with few activities, especially when booking the budget package. Please also note that food options will be basic and limited to what is locally available and in season.
Dorm beds: Several cabins in shared dorms can be from 6 people up to 12/14 people. They are assigned once you arrive on the island and cannot be chosen before.
Private Cabins: There are various private cabins.
The cabanas and dorm are basic but comfortable, they have sand floors and lights in the evening.
The restrooms are seperate from all accomodations and failry basic as well. There are 2 toilets and 2 showers shared between all guests.
There are not outlets for charging in most of the cabanas however guests may charge devices in the restaurant area in the evening.
From December to April, besides being the high season period, it is also the period of the winds and therefore the most agitated sea in some days. In this case it can happen for the safety of all customers the various tours on the islands can be delayed or even canceled, the safety of customers comes first, the Guna are due to comply with every security law, so we ask for understanding.
Please remember you will be sharing the island with the local Kuna people. You are a guest in their home, and it is important to respect that they are a bit shy and not too social with the tourists. Please respect their culture, ALWAYS ask before photographing the locals (and be gracious and understanding if they decline).
Your original passport with a valid entry stamp to Panama which will be revised by immigration. Your bag may weigh no more than 25 lbs since the capacity of the motorized canoes is limited. You can leave your big backpack at your accommodation. Please make sure you have enough cash before you leave Panama City as there are no ATM machines on the San Blas islands. Please be aware that electricity is not readily available and you should bring extra batteries for your camera. It is also highly recommended to bring snorkelling gear with you, as it can be hard to find high-quality gear on the island.
